One of my top beverages of choice is prosecco, so what better way to start my birthday than with a prosecco recipe that blends bubbles with dessert?! I’ve created a two ingredient prosecco cocktail in partnership with Mionetto, which you can easily re-create with their Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut or Rosé Extra Dry.

Prosecco is quite special, as it strictly comes from a designated and protected area in Italy. As Mionetto’s website explains, “The Prosecco di Valdobbiadene area along with the Conegliano acquired on April 1st 2010 the Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin (DOCG). The new regulations aimed to protect the wine produced in the 15 municipalities in this hilly area, with grapes grown between 50 and 500 meters above sea level, and where the best quality Prosecco is produced.”

This is where you will find the Glera grape that is specifically used for prosecco, where the weather is perfectly suited for it’s production.

Mionetto Prosecco and Mionetto Rose

To me, birthdays mean bubbles, sprinkles, flowers, and of course, dessert, so I had a ton of fun putting together my own little birthday breakfast in bed and a Mionetto Prosecco recipe to start off my special day! I have childhood memories of creamsicles, and love the blend of the orange and vanilla flavors. I decided bring this sweet treat to life with my own simple Creamsicle Mimosa Prosecco Cocktail!

Prosecco Recipe for Birthday

Creamsicle Mimosa Prosecco Cocktail

  • Grab your favorite champagne glass
  • Fill it halfway with Mionetto Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut or Rosé Extra Dry (they both taste delicious with this recipe!)
  • Fill the other half with orange vanilla sparkling water (I used Polar Orange Vanilla Seltzer)
  • Garnish with an orange slice or your favorite fruit (I had starfruit on hand, so I used this for a fun touch)

Mionetto Rosé
