I’m back from another trip to NYC. I went up for a childhood friend’s wedding, so I was able to spend the weekend in NYC before heading to New Jersey on Sunday for the wedding festivities. The weekend was jam packed with a trip to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the One World Trade Observatory, meetups with friends, and a peek backstage at the Hervé Léger NYFW show, all before heading to celebrate a Valentine’s Day wedding. The wedding reception was at the glamorous Nanina’s in the Park, where we spent the night dancing under the stunning chandeliers, and indulging in the outrageous amount of food and cocktails. The next day was followed by a little snowstorm to send me back to Florida (luckily without any major flight delays).

The temperatures for my time in New York were planned to hit a MAJOR low (that Saturday, the low was 1 degree. ONE.), so since the only down jacket I had was a bit short in length for those below freezing temperatures, I went and bought a new coat the evening before my trip. I found the *perfect* DKNY black, puffy down jacket. It’s cinched a bit in the back of the waist area, so it actually manages to give me a little bit of a shape, and it kept me incredibly warm (photo and similar recommendations are below).

Below are some great options for a longer length down jacket, similar to mine above. Best of all, they are all under $200!

I scored this dress at Nordstrom Rack, but I found some other options for a similar look:
