If you’re IG obsessed like I am, you have probably seen that Instagram’s app update last week included the ability to now post photos in portrait and landscape – an update to the square photo parameters that the app has had since it’s launch. This is a feature that will change the Instagram game by allowing for less stringent cropping and some flexibility with creativity. You will start to see (if you haven’t already) some different sized photos when scrolling through your feed, however, these non-square photos will be cropped and centered when shown on your profile feed.

The gram must be on a roll with updates, because yesterday they launched five additional features. You can now share photos directly with friends (rather than tagging them in a photo that you want them to see), create groups for direct messages, use super-sized emojis, reply with photos, and have threaded messages for DMs, rather than needing to scroll through to find an older conversation with someone. Learn a little bit more about the new feature over on Instagram’s blog.

I’m excited about these new features, BUT I am still impatiently awaiting the ability to toggle between multiple accounts! (Are you listening, Instagram?)
