One of my favorite makeup looks from my Vegas trip was the below selfie I snapped, amidst our rush to head out and enjoy our night. I never really wear false lashes, as my lashes are long and full, so I can usually get some great additional length and deep black color with my favorite mascara (the only one I use, and under $8!). After trying out some false lashes this New Years Eve, and again for a wedding in February, I decided I wanted to learn to apply them so I can wear them from time to time for special occasions. Vegas was the perfect opportunity and setting for this. I used MUA’s Glamour Volume Boosting Lash Kit. It comes with a uniquely angled lash placement tool, which really makes all the difference. I have tried to apply using tweezers before, but this tool makes for a much simpler application.I didn’t…

I’m obsessed with Nikes. They are the only style of shoes that I can walk around in for hours on end without pain. I have a pinched nerve on the bottom of my left foot that can sometimes give me issues when on my feet for a while, and Nikes are a godsend when it comes to traveling and walking. Nike is have a 20% OFF sale with code MOTION, and I am all over it. This means 20% of ALL items including sale! Plus, if you create a free Nike+ account, you get free shipping on any items, all the time (a no brainer). I’m eyeing these bad boys below, which are already on sale before the 20% off.

What I love so much about Los Angeles is the accommodating food choices that fit my healthy lifestyle. It’s never a question as to whether or not a coffee shop has dairy milk alternatives or treats with non-refined sugar. It’s so easy to find fresh, good-for-you food, which is what I am all about (of course, with the occasional indulgent treat!). My friend and I had crafted a list of coffee shops and restaurants ahead of time, and we were able to successfully visit a lot of the places we were excited about. Of course, there are so many more I want to visit, which just means another trip to LA in my future! Here are some of the highlights of my food adventures… After our long flight, we definitely needed some caffeine and a snack before our bike ride along Hermosa/Manhattan Beach. We Yelped to find the closest cute coffee…

I had an amazing trip to LA – jam packed with the quintessential LA tourist sights, amazing foodie spots, and lots of walking in the incredible California weather. I’ve compiled photos from some of my favorite sights below, and I’ll be doing a separate post on my foodie adventures. After a quick stop for a post-flight iced latte and vegan treat (featured in my next “LA Food Adventures” post), we were off to bike ride along Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach. Not kidding, I haven’t ridden a bike in 15 years! It was a bit of a rough start, but I eventually got the hang of it (for the most part). I’m just thankful it was a Monday, not a busy weekend, or I would have gotten run over by the herd of LA local cyclists. The next morning was spent hiking the Hollyridge Trail, where we were able to…

I’m back from another trip to NYC. I went up for a childhood friend’s wedding, so I was able to spend the weekend in NYC before heading to New Jersey on Sunday for the wedding festivities. The weekend was jam packed with a trip to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the One World Trade Observatory, meetups with friends, and a peek backstage at the Hervé Léger NYFW show, all before heading to celebrate a Valentine’s Day wedding. The wedding reception was at the glamorous Nanina’s in the Park, where we spent the night dancing under the stunning chandeliers, and indulging in the outrageous amount of food and cocktails. The next day was followed by a little snowstorm to send me back to Florida (luckily without any major flight delays). The temperatures for my time in New York were planned to hit a MAJOR low (that Saturday, the low was 1 degree. ONE.), so…
