Summer is coming to an end (though here in Miami, it never really ends), so it’s time to start thinking about how to transition your wardrobe for Fall! Fall is my favorite season – crisp weather, pumpkin flavors and warm apple scents, and of course, pulling out my sweaters and coats! One of my favorite things about Fall fashion is being able to layer pieces – different patterns and textures for style and warmth purposes. I’ve put together some key staple categories that are perfect for layering this next season! CHUNKY SWEATERS CHIC COATS LEATHER + FAUX LEATHER JACKETS Another option for Fall transitional wardrobes are blazers. I love a good blazer, especially because you can dress them up or down! Shopbop has an amazing selection of blazers, and there are so many fun options, patterns, and textures to play around with. Throwing a great blazer over jeans and a…

I’m all about the cropped sweater this season, as you can see in my “Let’s Get Down to Brow Business” post, where I wore this cropped gray sweater (which I scored on clearance at Target)… Now, I’m not all about showing my midriff, so I love how these sweaters hit at just the right spot. They are still a short, cropped look, but they hit the top of your jeans, so you aren’t baring any skin. Check out these other great cropped sweater looks (all at great prices).

I head to NYC this week for work, and I get to enjoy the weekend up there as well! I’m looking forward to some cooler weather and pulling out some new items from my Fall wardrobe! Here are some of the pieces I’m bringing (these are either the exact items, or very similar items). Be sure to follow me on Instagram (@marissalynne) to keep up with my travels while I’m on the go!

I am totally crushing on floral rompers to transition into Fall with. It’s still quite warm out here in Florida, but I love that these options are either long sleeved, or can be paired with a blazer or tights, so we can stretch them far into the Fall season! These florals are all a bit more muted and darker, which make them even more suited for the cooler weather.

I’m heading to New Orleans in a few weeks for work, and I’m pretty excited about it. I’ve been one other time (also for work), and I can’t wait to go back and spend a few more days there! My last trip included some sightseeing, some cocktails, and of course, some Café Du Monde beignets! The colors, liveliness, and spirit of New Orleans have inspired some recent fashion cravings. Here are some of those NOLA fashions I’m feeling:

Camo is the new neutral this Fall, and I’ve done some research to find a big handful of great camo pieces (at affordable prices, of course!) for you to don this season.I’m pretty sure I am going to get this bad boy (on sale for $34.99), – a perfect lightweight jacket for a Florida Fall/Winter, or my next trip to NYC in a few weeks!
