Every girl needs a “Galentine’s Day”. The phrase was made popular by one of my fave shows, Parks and Rec, and it’s a day/night around Valentine’s Day where you get together with your best girlfriends to spend some quality girl time. Whether you have a Valentine or not, it’s a necessity to get in some gal-pal time! One of my closest friends and fellow fashion blogger, Danielle from the blog Shikshin, and I hosted a Galentine’s Day dinner at a local sushi restaurant with some of our girlfriends. We had a ton of fun, filled with sushi, cocktails, cupcakes and some amazing lip products from Makeup Academy! CVS Beauty Club provided all of our guests with 3 different products, and we had so much fun playing with them! Do you do a “Galentine’s Day” with your girlfriends? What does yours involve? Brunch, shopping, cocktails, spa? Share below!

A perk to being a blogger is that I often get to work with different brands, as well as amazing platforms that connect bloggers to brands, such as Brandbacker. I am a part of a current Brandbacker campaign which involves reviewing Paula Dorf’s 2 + 1 For Brows product. I previously used to work in Product Development and Marketing for color cosmetics, so cosmetics are near and dear to my heart. I love trying out new items and innovations. On top of that, until I started working in cosmetics, I didn’t realize how important filling in and defining eyebrows were. It really completes your look and frames your face! Here is Paula Dorf’s 2+1 For Brows product, with a little snapshot product description. “Create perfect looking brows that last all day! 2 flattering colors + 1 light wax = natural-looking brows. This trio creates a perfect color match and fills…

I just came back from an incredible trip, where Bumble and bumble was participating in the Behind the Chair Cut & Style Show, where our Global Artistic Director (and world renowned hair stylist) Laurent Philippon, took the main stage on Day 3. It was such a fun trip that included exploring New Orleans, representing Bumble and bumble at the Behind the Chair booth, networking (and playing) at the Bumble and bumble party, and seeing some amazing (as always) Bumble hair. I loved all my outfits but was so busy running around I couldn’t really take any outfit photos, but I’m going to try and at least photograph the outfits or some of the pieces to show! You can also see some of my other photos on my Instagram @marissalynne. MY TRIP TO THE BIG EASY

It’s just a matter of days until I fly off to Sin City, so I’m sharing my ultimate Vegas essentials, to keep me comfy and prepared during my trip (and your future trip!)A cozy, drapey sweater for the flight…A pair of fun and stylish (but inexpensive) sunnies. No one wants to lose designer sunglasses while day drinking… A durable, easy to clean, oversized tote…A travel-makeup case to hold all of your beauty essentials…Lay-n-Go CosmoDeluxe Tri-Fold Hanging Cosmetics BagI’m actually excited about the second bad boy. It’s called the Lay-n-Go (this style is the Cosmo) and this is going to be my first trip with it! It’s a convertible makeup/toiletries bag. It opens up to be flat, so you can load all of your beauty goodies inside (it even has an inside pocket for small items like jewelry or medicine), and when you are ready to pack it up, you just pull…

I am here to RAVE about the L’Oreal Paris Magic Nude Foundation. This stuff is A-MAZING!!! It’s the most flawless and lightweight foundation I have ever used, and it makes me feel like I’m wearing nothing on my face (hence, “Magic Nude Foundation”), yet it still gives me unbelievable coverage. It is a really thin formula (so use your fingers, not a sponge or brush, which will absorb it all), and it blends on so easily, and it is SPF 18.There is no need for a face primer first either – this fills in pores and fine lines, while giving incredible and natural-looking results. It’s a powdery finish, so it isn’t heavy or cake-y on the skin, and it feels even lighter than if you’re wearing a powder. I’m 100% sold, and I don’t think I’ll ever look back!Have you tried L’oreal Magic Nude Foundation? What were your thoughts? If you…
