UNCOVERED (in Orlando) was created to spotlight those who strive to continually make Orlando the “City Beautiful” through the use of fashion and the art of storytelling. With their initiatives, they hope to expose both visitors and residents to another side of Orlando.

On November 9, 2013, UNCOVERED will be hosting a local fashion show to help promote literacy and Orlando’s local artists and community. Meshing fashion and literacy together, local choreographers and stylists were asked to give their interpretation of one of the following stories: The Great Gatsby, Divergent, and Where the Wild Things Are, in an effort to bring awareness to the progess being made at downtown Orlando’s local library, to build a media center for the city’s ever evolving, creative community.

Tickets for the fashion show are priced from $7.50 to 50.00 and can be bought online at www.orlandouncvrd.com. Proceeds will go toward funding future events with UNCOVERED so that local artists can have a platform to showcase their talents.
