What I love so much about Los Angeles is the accommodating food choices that fit my healthy lifestyle. It’s never a question as to whether or not a coffee shop has dairy milk alternatives or treats with non-refined sugar. It’s so easy to find fresh, good-for-you food, which is what I am all about (of course, with the occasional indulgent treat!). My friend and I had crafted a list of coffee shops and restaurants ahead of time, and we were able to successfully visit a lot of the places we were excited about. Of course, there are so many more I want to visit, which just means another trip to LA in my future! Here are some of the highlights of my food adventures… After our long flight, we definitely needed some caffeine and a snack before our bike ride along Hermosa/Manhattan Beach. We Yelped to find the closest cute coffee…

I had an amazing trip to LA – jam packed with the quintessential LA tourist sights, amazing foodie spots, and lots of walking in the incredible California weather. I’ve compiled photos from some of my favorite sights below, and I’ll be doing a separate post on my foodie adventures. After a quick stop for a post-flight iced latte and vegan treat (featured in my next “LA Food Adventures” post), we were off to bike ride along Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach. Not kidding, I haven’t ridden a bike in 15 years! It was a bit of a rough start, but I eventually got the hang of it (for the most part). I’m just thankful it was a Monday, not a busy weekend, or I would have gotten run over by the herd of LA local cyclists. The next morning was spent hiking the Hollyridge Trail, where we were able to…

I’m back from another trip to NYC. I went up for a childhood friend’s wedding, so I was able to spend the weekend in NYC before heading to New Jersey on Sunday for the wedding festivities. The weekend was jam packed with a trip to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the One World Trade Observatory, meetups with friends, and a peek backstage at the Hervé Léger NYFW show, all before heading to celebrate a Valentine’s Day wedding. The wedding reception was at the glamorous Nanina’s in the Park, where we spent the night dancing under the stunning chandeliers, and indulging in the outrageous amount of food and cocktails. The next day was followed by a little snowstorm to send me back to Florida (luckily without any major flight delays). The temperatures for my time in New York were planned to hit a MAJOR low (that Saturday, the low was 1 degree. ONE.), so…

I’ve been to Atlanta several times over the last few years, visiting two of my closest friends who have spent some time there doing their med school rotations. They are both heading off to residency soon, which meant one last girls trip in ATL (for now). I arrived to some rainy cold weather, and we had some surprise snow (yay!) on my first night. The reaction to the incoming weather was actually pretty crazy, at least coming from someone who grew up in New York blizzards and now lives through Florida thunderstorms and hurricane warnings. The local businesses started closing at 2pm in fear of black ice and dangerous weather. My friends and I laughed it off later when it was actually less offensive weather than our Florida storms – just some light snow and beautiful winter weather! We hit a few hot spots while I was in town and even…

I was recently introduced to the brand Day & Mood, a Scandinavian design label founded in 2014. I love the brand’s minimalistic aesthetic, and their styles seems to be classic and traditional, yet modern and on-trend. I completely fell for their leather Irene Vintage Crossbody in Tan. Though their website shows it as more of a grayish tan, it’s a perfect cognac tan color and looks great worn as a shoulder bag or crossbody. After these photos were taken, I actually had two additional holes created in the strap, so that I have options of shorter shoulder and crossbody lengths (I’m 5’1, so typically some straps hit too far down on me). I can definitely tell how well-made the bag is and the stunning craftsmanship. I used this as my daytime bag for my recent travels, and it’s the perfect casual bag to throw on for a Sunday around town or a casual night out!…
