On Sunday, I went to our local (HUGE) Farmer’s Market, where hundreds of people attend to shop local vendors, eat some local food, and walk around the park with their family, friends, and dogs! The weather finally dropped down (a little) – enough to where it is finally starting to feel like Fall. I was originally going to wear the below outfit, but then for fear that the mid-day Florida sun would bump the temperature back up a little, I swapped the plaid long sleeved shirt for a black tank. I figured with the booties and the hat, a tank would balance out those warmer pieces.    RECREATE MY LOOK

It’s back to school week here in my part of Florida, and although I haven’t been in school for some years (though, some days I wish I could go back to freshman year of college and re-live some of those days), the back to school spirit is in the air. On top of back to school season, I’ve been seeing some chic, “grown-up” backpacks these days, so this post comes at no better time. Between music festivals and tailgating, there is a demand for a hands-free bag that fits a little more than your typical crossbody. I’ve rounded up some perfect options that are fashionable enough to justify a backpack purchase: YOUR GROWN-UP BACKPACK What do you think? Are you planning to purchase a super-chic backpack this Fall season?

I love getting packages in the mail, and with the online shopping I do, it’s not uncommon (note: I said packages, not “mail” – as the latter typically involves bills and other nonsense). I get even more excited when I get a package of something that I forgot I ordered, which is what happened when I opened up the envelope with my most recent vintage treasure inside. I found this 1950’s vintage Sperry Lariat Bolo Tassel Necklace on ebay, and scored it for about $8 including shipping! Luckily, I was the only bidder, and I’m obsessed. Although you may not be able score this exact vintage piece, I put together a selection of gold necklaces that are “vintage-inspired”.

I came across a BuzzFeed post (honestly, what did we do before BuzzFeed? The site could devour my entire morning if I allowed it to), which provided a list of the “25 Awesome Places to Shop in Your Late Twenties and Early Thirties”. I always have friends ask where I shop, and a handful of the stores I often recommend are on this list. Some of the stores on the list that see my credit card from time to time are: ASOS, TJMaxx/Marshalls (I basically live in these two stores), Target (duh), Nordstrom Rack, Anthropologie Clearance Rack (this is hit or miss for me, but I did score this baby for only $30!), and Zara. Some of the others I haven’t really ventured to, but it’s a great reminder of what stores you can drop into or browse online when you are looking for some new inspiration or you’re not finding the pieces you…

I’ve been browsing a lot of “horn” necklaces lately (this House of Harlow necklace I saw and tweeted about seemed to be a hit!), and it led me to even more exploration of horn accessories of all different kinds. Whether they are literal horn pendants, or beautiful bangles made of horn-style material, I’m all about it lately! I’m especially a little overly excited about this Nicole by Nicole Miller Two-Tone Horn Layered Necklace (for $23.50!): On my horn-hunt, I’ve hunted and gathered links to all sorts of horn accessories for you to browse: Do you have any favorite horned accessories that you love? I can imagine that there are some great vintage pieces out there too!

I’m out in the dating world. I land a happy hour date or a dinner date or a brunch date. I freak out over what to wear, even though my closet is ripping at the seams. It’s supposed to be “casual” date, you know, to get to know each other, but it’s completely high pressure when you need to make a good first impression. I agonize over what to wear, texting photos to my BFFs or FaceTiming as I’m getting ready, and then I finally put together something that (I think) looks “sophisticated” and “sexy” but without “trying too hard”. It seems fairly simple when you think about it, but when you’re nervous and frantic about impressing someone, and trying to get out the door in time, it sometimes is a difficult task. The struggle is real, folks. That’s why I’ve put together some great go-to options for several different…
