Every girl needs a “Galentine’s Day”. The phrase was made popular by one of my fave shows, Parks and Rec, and it’s a day/night around Valentine’s Day where you get together with your best girlfriends to spend some quality girl time. Whether you have a Valentine or not, it’s a necessity to get in some gal-pal time! One of my closest friends and fellow fashion blogger, Danielle from the blog Shikshin, and I hosted a Galentine’s Day dinner at a local sushi restaurant with some of our girlfriends. We had a ton of fun, filled with sushi, cocktails, cupcakes and some amazing lip products from Makeup Academy! Last week, I attended a bridal couture fashion show I was invited to by Solutions Bridal Designer House, here in Florida. The fashion show was held at the beautiful brand new Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. I was invited to bring a guest, so I brought my good friend and fellow fashion blogger, Danielle, who blogs over at Shikshin. The resort itself was beautiful, as was the backdrop and stage setup for the show. We had the opportunity to view some beautiful gowns and sip some cocktails (can’t complain).
A perk to being a blogger is that I often get to work with different brands, as well as amazing platforms that connect bloggers to brands, such as Brandbacker. I am a part of a current Brandbacker campaign which involves reviewing Paula Dorf’s 2 + 1 For Brows product. I previously used to work in Product Development and Marketing for color cosmetics, so cosmetics are near and dear to my heart. I love trying out new items and innovations. I channeled my inner rap star when I attended the G-Eazy concert on Wednesday night with a couple of friends. My friend Teryn introduced me to his music and let me know that he was going to be coming to Orlando on his tour. His good looks initially got me, but after listening to his album on repeat, I now have a slight obsession with him and his music. We had an incredibly fun time! The venue was intimate and we were able to see him and even dance around a bit. It was a blast! If you have a soft spot for rap music, I suggest listening to his album on Spotify to check him out! I had a fun weekend visiting family and friends this past weekend in South Florida! It included some great weather, and a night out in Miami with my bestie, who just moved back from NYC! SHOTSKI (Andy Cohen would be proud)
