Television shopping network, ShopNBC, wants to give you a weekend full of beauty, and that’s just what they are doing! This Saturday, March 23 through Sunday, March 24, they are giving you the best of the best in beauty trends. Broadcasting in 83-million homes nationwide, they will be hosting their “Beautiful You” event, packed from beginning to end with their top picks of head-to-toe beauty products.
ShopNBC sent me my very own beauty kit that was overflowing with beauty-goodies (you may have seen my photo on instagram). There are so many fun, unique, and interesting products in the kit, so I am going to briefly go through each, and then go a little more in-depth on some of my favorites!
Fairy Drops Scandal Queen Mascara
This is Japan’s famous do-it-all Fairy Drops Mascara. It has a very unique, curved, patented brush, which combined with the fibers in the formula, lush, voluminous lashes. It’s infused with 5 treatment ingredients: Squalane, Jojoba Seed Oil, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Sodium Hyaluronate, which help keep lashes lush, curled, and luxurious all day.
This mascara uses the uniquely curved brush to provide length, volume, and curl for an all-in-one application. The treatment ingredients allow it to go on smoothly, and keep your lashes looking great, all day! Because of the fibers, be sure to use long continuous strokes, rather than short strokes.)
Magnifibers Brush on Eyelash Fibers
I’ve actually never seen anything quite like this before. I’ve seen white eyelash primers, and mascaras with black fibers or “tubes” to give the effect of fake eyelashes, but this actually has natural, white fibers, and it is to be used in conjunction with your own mascara to add real length and volume to your eye lashes.
Step 1: Apply your own mascara as usual and immediately move onto Step 2.
Step 2: Apply Magnifibres onto your lashes while mascara is still wet, using the same technique as applying mascara.
Step 3: Wait 30- 60 seconds so the fibres can stick to your lashes, then apply a second coat of your mascara to cover the white fibres.
This gives the effect of instant eyelash extensions, and it can easily be removed with makeup remover and warm water.
I received a 1 oz tube of this brightening mud, which rehydrates, renews, and revitalizes. The mix of mineral-enriched mud, cleansers, and Borghese’s exclusive Acqua di Vita® Complex work to cleanse pores, exfoliate, remove impurities, and give skin a firmer appearance. I love Borghese products, and this mud mask is no different. It smells amazing, and goes on easily (you can check the mask out in full force in this instagram photo I posted). I left it on longer than the 5-10 minutes, just because I got caught up blogging or watching reality tv or going on instagram. After rinsing it off, my skin felt tight, smooth, and refreshed. I can’t wait to continue using it to see the results after continuous use.
