January is here – the month of resolutions, diets, new workout routines, and motivated mindsets. I’m no different, though I don’t set resolutions, but goals. I’ve outlined personal goals as well as for my blog and career and even put together a vision board to help me visualize them. I use some different tools for health and wellness (both mental and physical), and I’m excited to share some of my favorite resources and tips with you. Hopefully these can also help make it easier for you to reach your goals and train some new habits. Insight Timer Meditation App Insight Timer is the top-rated free meditation app in the app store, and I can speak personally to it. They have over 3.2 million meditators, and they offer over 7,600 guided meditations, music tracks, talks and courses. What I love about this app is that meditations are uploaded by over 1,600 teachers (meaning that…

So, I’m 30. Yep, it happened, and on December 5, 2017 I have entered my third decade of life. Scary things are supposed to happen now, right? Wrinkles, pressure to have babies, officially being more of an adult than I felt I was in my late-twenties? Luckily, Dermalaser here in Miami is helping me embrace entering my 30’s – at least when it comes to my skin. They focus on laser treatments, body treatments, skin care and injectables and I sat with the owner, Marisol, to consult about my skin needs before deciding what treatments were best for me. Marisol is one of the most knowledgable skincare experts I have ever spoken with. She gave me some incredible insight into what many spas do wrong and why it’s so important to understand what machines they are using and what exact processes they are using during your treatments. She advised that some medspas use non-FDA…

If you know me well, I am a former Diet Coke addict. Don’t get me wrong, I still indulge from time to time (don’t dare offer me a Diet Pepsi, though a Diet Dr. Pepper even trumps my DC craving), but as I’ve focused more and more on healthy eating and habits over the years, my cravings for carbonation have been satisfied with unsweetened (but flavored) sparkling water. I’ve dabbled around with different brands, and I am always excited to find new ones. That’s why I was so excited when I received the opportunity to work with Spindrift® sparkling water. One of the things I love most about the refreshing and bubbly water is that they are made with real fruit, from local farms (“farm to bubble” as they like to say). I thought this map on their website was super cute, to show where their fruit comes from – from citrus to…

I had such a fun day today eating and wandering with Barcelona blogger Nathalie from Cocoa and Buttons. We had lunch at Flax & Kale, an adorable and trendy organic/vegetarian restaurant here in Barcelona that I’ve been dying to try, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I got the Raw Superbowl, a newer menu item. It’s a salad with leafy greens, two types of hummus, zucchini tagliatelle with a turmeric pesto, cucumbers and cherry tomatoes with basil, red cabbage sauerkraut, and sprouts. It was SO delicious! Nathalie got the Supertagliatelle with spirulina, diced salmon, kale pesto and parmesan. We sat upstairs on the outdoor terrace, but the interior decor is also amazing – including their bathroom! (I’m linking similar off the shoulder tops in this blog post.) After Flax & Kale, we headed to La Boqueria in the Gothic Quarter area. It’s a huge open air market with fresh fruits,…

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably have seen my obsession about the workout craze that is taking over – barre. It’s a mix of ballet, pilates, strength training, and a bit of cardio (because it definitely gets your heart rate pumping). I was solely taking classes at a local barre studio, but it closed back in February, so I’ve been an active member of ClassPass (which is amazing, and you can read about it some more, here). You can take unlimited classes at multiple fitness studios in your city, and even other major cities when you travel! It’s not just barre, I take boot camp, pilates, cardio classes – there’s something for everyone! Obsessed with any combination of oats/greek yogurt/bananas/almond butter. I am loving BearNaked Protein Granola – it’s lower in carbs and sugar which is rare for granola, and high in protein! Not to anyone’s surprise, my smoothie is the one…
