I’m back from another trip to NYC. I went up for a childhood friend’s wedding, so I was able to spend the weekend in NYC before heading to New Jersey on Sunday for the wedding festivities. The weekend was jam packed with a trip to the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the One World Trade Observatory, meetups with friends, and a peek backstage at the Hervé Léger NYFW show, all before heading to celebrate a Valentine’s Day wedding. The wedding reception was at the glamorous Nanina’s in the Park, where we spent the night dancing under the stunning chandeliers, and indulging in the outrageous amount of food and cocktails. The next day was followed by a little snowstorm to send me back to Florida (luckily without any major flight delays). The temperatures for my time in New York were planned to hit a MAJOR low (that Saturday, the low was 1 degree. ONE.), so…

I’ve been to Atlanta several times over the last few years, visiting two of my closest friends who have spent some time there doing their med school rotations. They are both heading off to residency soon, which meant one last girls trip in ATL (for now). I arrived to some rainy cold weather, and we had some surprise snow (yay!) on my first night. The reaction to the incoming weather was actually pretty crazy, at least coming from someone who grew up in New York blizzards and now lives through Florida thunderstorms and hurricane warnings. The local businesses started closing at 2pm in fear of black ice and dangerous weather. My friends and I laughed it off later when it was actually less offensive weather than our Florida storms – just some light snow and beautiful winter weather! We hit a few hot spots while I was in town and even…

For our trip to San Fran, my girlfriends and I stayed at Hotel Triton, an eccentrically decorated boutique hotel in the Union Square area. The hotel opened in 1913 and has always been known for it’s boho chic and eccentric style. There is a ton of funky artwork and decor throughout the hotel, and guests are even invited to purchase any pieces that catch their eye. Their rooms have bold and bright style, and beyond their Deluxe Rooms, they have celebrity decorated suites that range in themes! They have a coffee bar every morning (even with soy milk, though I guess I would not expect anything less in San Francisco), and a free wine hour every evening in the lobby! This boutique hotel was the perfect fit for our fun girls getaway, and a perfect location to explore San Francisco! (Hotel Triton offered me a complimentary stay for my trip in exchange…

I was able to sleep in this morning to finally catch up on some sleep after some East Coast/West Coast jet lag. I got back several days ago from a trip to San Francisco that was after another incredible trip to NYC to visit House of Bumble for our annual Bumble and bumble National Sales Gathering. This was my first time to San Francisco (my first time to California, in fact), and I am IN LOVE with the city! Our first day, we started with a breakfast that was almost too pretty to eat, and then went on our way to start exploring San Fran, wandering to Union Square, Chinatown, The Haight, Golden Gate Park, The Mission, and everywhere in between! Some of my shopping finds… Our trip involved sightseeing, cocktails, lots of eating, a little shopping, a trip to Sonoma, and the continued exclamation of how much we love…

I had such a great long Labor Day Weekend. One of my closest friends came to visit from med school in Atlanta, and we had lots of fun -filled with (too much) food and (too many) cocktails! We started with pedicures on Saturday, followed by exploring the Plant Street Market in Winter Garden, Florida. The market is kind of like a very mini Chelsea Market, with a feel of local food, vendors, and a brewery. We indulged in food by Five Thymes Five and a beer flight from Crooked Can Brewing Company. Sunday was definitely a “Sunday Funday”. Bottomless mimosas followed by some bar hopping in Downtown Orlando. That called for a casual and relaxing Monday, spent with Brooklyn Water Company bagels in the morning, and the rest of the day resting in bed. I hope everyone had a fun Labor Day! I’m off to Dallas Wednesday through Sunday, so…
