So, I’m 30. Yep, it happened, and on December 5, 2017 I have entered my third decade of life. Scary things are supposed to happen now, right? Wrinkles, pressure to have babies, officially being more of an adult than I felt I was in my late-twenties? Luckily, Dermalaser here in Miami is helping me embrace entering my 30’s – at least when it comes to my skin. They focus on laser treatments, body treatments, skin care and injectables and I sat with the owner, Marisol, to consult about my skin needs before deciding what treatments were best for me. Marisol is one of the most knowledgable skincare experts I have ever spoken with. She gave me some incredible insight into what many spas do wrong and why it’s so important to understand what machines they are using and what exact processes they are using during your treatments. She advised that some medspas use non-FDA…

I’ve worked in the beauty industry for almost ten years, and have had many opportunities to interact and network with different leaders in the industry. This past Sunday, I was invited to a blogger luncheon hosted at the gorgeous Boca Raton estate of Inger Ellen Nicolaisen, founder of the most profitable hair salon chain in the world, Nikita Hair, which started with a single hair salon in Norway. Together with her daughter Christinah, they have grown Nikita Hair into a company that has a strong spirit and passionate culture. When approaching her stunning home, I was greeted by Inger herself, who flung the front door open and shouted enthusiastically across the driveway. I could immediately see and feel Inger’s intoxicating energy. I met a few of the fellow bloggers upon arrival, and we snapped some photos in front of the step and repeat before heading to take our seats in her media room. Inger began sharing her…

One of my favorite makeup looks from my Vegas trip was the below selfie I snapped, amidst our rush to head out and enjoy our night. I never really wear false lashes, as my lashes are long and full, so I can usually get some great additional length and deep black color with my favorite mascara (the only one I use, and under $8!). After trying out some false lashes this New Years Eve, and again for a wedding in February, I decided I wanted to learn to apply them so I can wear them from time to time for special occasions. Vegas was the perfect opportunity and setting for this. I used MUA’s Glamour Volume Boosting Lash Kit. It comes with a uniquely angled lash placement tool, which really makes all the difference. I have tried to apply using tweezers before, but this tool makes for a much simpler application.I didn’t…

I’m totally inspired by the cover of the most recent issue of Elle Magazine, donning the stunning Margot Robbie who you probably know as Leo DiCaprio’s Brooklynite wife from The Wolf of Wall Street, or more recently, the sidekick to Will Smith in the movie Focus (P.S. I rented this movie a couple of weeks ago and LOVED it!). Her lived-in hair look is a true testament to the “un-done but done” texture that is the newest hair trend, and (I’m partial) something that Bumble and bumble is known to excel at. That, paired with a deep red gloss stain has me excited enough that it’s Friday (happy hour is calling my name!). I put together a couple of my favorite Bumble and bumble products that are the perfect fit for this texture: Prêt-à-Powder, a microfine loose powder that can not only be used as a dry shampoo, but can be…

The Blogger Meetup’s Orlando Refresh event was another successful blogger event with an incredible turnout of over 75 attendees! The vibes of henna tattoos and flower crowns have me feeling a bit bohemian lately. Combined with some fun accessories I received from Tuti Designs, below are some snapshots of how I’m showing off these vibes.

To get prepared for our The Blogger Meetup Miami Meet + Sweet event, fellow Co-founder Danielle (who blogs over at Shikshin) and I were so excited by the offer from the INGLOT store in Aventura to get our makeup done for our event! The Aventura store is beautiful – it’s so bright and colorful, it’s definitely like being a kid in a candy store! My makeup was done by Laura, and she was AMAZING! She did an incredible job, even on our tight time crunch! I am also totally in love with the foundation she used – it lasted through the Miami heat all day and night. It was the HD Perfect Coverup Foundation (I was shade 76). Thanks to the amazing team and INGLOT and the sweet ladies in the Aventura store for our beautiful looks!
