Thanksgiving is just days away (cannot believe it), and whether you’re hosting or bringing a side dish, you probably have to take at least a few dietary restrictions into consideration when preparing your dishes. I’m participating in our second annual “Friendsgiving”, a popular holiday trend where you essentially re-create Thanksgiving before or right after the holiday, but with your B.F.F.s. With diets and allergies ranging from vegetarian to vegan, from paleo to gluten-free and dairy-free, it can be hard to accommodate everyone. Or for some, your cooking struggles might stem from not being able to really throw together anything more than a great PB&J sandwich. For others, it may entail wanting to get SO creative that you don’t really know where to start. Well, I’m giving you some alternative recipes that are sure to please for different diets, cooking proficiency (or lack there of), and are sure to impress any crowd this Thanksgiving! A crisp white top is always a classic. It’s fresh, bright, and can be paired with almost anything. For the Summer heat, I found the perfect white top that has been a go-to with shorts, and leading into Miami’s “Fall, I can now begin to pair it with anything from jeans to trousers. This off-the-shoulder crop top hits at the perfect spot, to still allow for a cropped effect, but without baring any midriff. The sleeves are attached to the top as separate armholes, which stay perfectly in place. I also love that the sleeves have more of a bell shape, for a really unique and comfortable look. The best part of this shirt is that it is $7.99! It also comes in 5 additional colors, which I will definitely be scooping up. There are also usually promo codes for a percentage off or shipping discounts, so peek around on…

There has been no shortage of floral prints this Summer, and I love that these florals can be taken right into the Fall season. Luckily, in Miami I can continue rocking Summer styles for quite some time, allowing me to get plenty of use out these pieces. One of my favorite looks has been this super cute Flower Print Crop Top Two-Piece. It shows just a tiny bit of midriff without looking skimpy or inappropriate. I have rocked this to brunch, dinner, and have even styled the top piece separately with a black high-waisted denim skirt. The best part, the entire two-piece look is just $23! I love the flowy off-the-shoulder crop top and I’m getting lots of uses mixing and matching this (and P.S., the top does not do that annoying pop-up onto your shoulder thing that a lot of OTS tops do!). If you know me well, I am a former Diet Coke addict. Don’t get me wrong, I still indulge from time to time (don’t dare offer me a Diet Pepsi, though a Diet Dr. Pepper even trumps my DC craving), but as I’ve focused more and more on healthy eating and habits over the years, my cravings for carbonation have been satisfied with unsweetened (but flavored) sparkling water. I’ve dabbled around with different brands, and I am always excited to find new ones. That’s why I was so excited when I received the opportunity to work with Spindrift® sparkling water. One of the things I love most about the refreshing and bubbly water is that they are made with real fruit, from local farms (“farm to bubble” as they like to say). I thought this map on their website was super cute, to show where their fruit comes from – from citrus to…

If you live in LA, have visited LA, or even heard rumors about all of the traffic in LA, you know that it’s definitely a city where you need a car. Uber or Lyft will work to head out to dinner or drinks locally, but if you truly want to explore all of the different areas and neighborhoods (which you absolutely should), then renting a car is a must when you visit. I was lucky enough to work with Mitsubishi for our LA trip, where I was loaned the new 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer LE (black on black – so chic) to travel around town. Not only did we take this bad boy all around LA, but we took a smooth and scenic drive to Camarillo Ranch for a wedding we were attending, and then detoured down to Malibu the next day, on our way back from LA. I don’t rent…

I recently returned from a six day trip to LA, where we made our way through West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Venice, Santa Monica, Culver City, took a drive up to Camarillo Ranch for a wedding, and then made a detour to Malibu on the way back to LA. I’m sharing plenty of photos on Instagram and I’ll have another post on the blog, though this post is all about the adorable sanctuary where we stayed, Hollywood Hotel. Something extremely important to me as a guest when staying at a hotel is their customer service. Great customer service sets the tone for your stay, and reassures you that should you have any questions or issues, they will be properly handled. As soon as we stepped foot into Hollywood Hotel, we were greeted with authentic smiles. The front desk agent was so friendly, accommodating, and helpful, that I knew we were going…
